Set against the West Virginia Mine Wars, Rednecks is a fiction series about labor, solidarity, and the cost of resistance. The project explores how systems of power fracture communities, and what it means to fight for dignity without becoming the very thing you oppose.
Paint Creek | Short | Pre-Production
Paint Creek tells the story of a miner trying to hold onto his humanity as the world around him demands either submission or violence. As exploitation gives way to retaliation and solidarity becomes dangerous, the film explores dignity, survival, and the cost of resistance. Designed as a proof of concept for Rednecks, it introduces the world, tone, and conflict of the larger series.
